How we started

It started with The Electric Car Scheme, after founder Tom Eilon tried to lease an electric car on returning to the UK. A government scheme existed to make electric cars affordable, but in practice only employees of very large companies could get the best deals.

We built the platform that gives smaller employers the same tax treatment and the same market pricing. The Electric Car Scheme became the UK’s leading electric car salary sacrifice provider, with awards across HR, automotive and sustainability to show for it.

That left us with two things worth keeping: a model that works and a direct line into employer payrolls. Every scheme we have added since builds on both, from charging to solar and heat pumps.

The tax relief was already there. The access was not. So we built it.

How we are structured

One brand, many benefits. Each scheme has its own market and stage of maturity, and all of them run on shared infrastructure.

Net Zero Benefits is the master brand. Each scheme below is one of its products, sharing the same compliance, data protection, service and impact standards.

    Our founding scheme. Employees save 20 to 50% on any electric car, and employers carry no financial risk from day one.

    The Net Zero Home Scheme

    Discounted solar, batteries, heat pumps and charge points for employees, delivered by vetted installers outside payroll at no cost or risk to the employer.

  • Growing

    The Charge Scheme

    Charging at home, at work and in public, paid from gross salary. It plugs into any employer's car scheme, including schemes we do not run.

  • In development

    The Heat Pump Scheme

    Home heating through salary sacrifice. We are working with HM Treasury to extend the mechanism to Energy Saving Materials.

    The Solar Scheme

    Rooftop solar on the same terms, so households generate their own power without finding the upfront cost.

Salary sacrifice is 100% of our focus. We are not a benefits platform with salary sacrifice bolted on, so employers get depth on the tax treatment, the compliance that matters and the savings that follow.

We make salary sacrifice work for SME, mid-market and enterprise employers alike. Our broker model curates the best of the market rather than locking anyone into a single supplier.

Accelerator

We create new schemes rather than wait for them. We listen to what employers ask for, lobby government to widen what salary sacrifice can cover, and launch the schemes that result.

Every scheme runs on the same standards for compliance, data protection, customer outcomes and impact reporting, so an employer signs up once and gets the same service whichever scheme they add.
