Our journey so far
Where we started, where we are and what the next phase of hiring is for.
2020
The frustration
Our founders, Thom Groot and Tom Eilon, tried to lease an electric car using the government's tax incentives. They were offered overpriced deals and told the savings were only open to companies with a thousand or more employees.
2021
The launch
They built a way for smaller businesses to offer the benefit too. The Electric Car Scheme launched with more than a hundred businesses in the pilot.
Today
The present
More than 120 people work across our schemes, helping employers of every size make electric cars, charging and clean home technology the obvious choice for their people. Net Zero Benefits is the master brand that sits behind them.
Next
The future
The same salary sacrifice model that worked for cars now extends to charging, heat and the home. The next phase of hiring is about taking each of those schemes from launch to scale.
